Lockheed-Martin's F-35A Lightning II is a single-seat, single-engine, stealthy Air Force strike fighter, a multi-role aircraft that can perform close air support, tactical bombing, and air-to-air combat. The F-35 is descended from the X-35 of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. This mahogany display model aircraft of the F-35A, a stealthier complement to the Super Hornet which is currently being manufactured, is hand-carved by highly experienced artist-craftsmen with great concern for details of the actual aircraft.
