Model kit features: Engraved panel lines. Detailed cockpit with instrument panel. Detailed landing gear. Illustrated assembly guide. Waterslide decals for 3 versions: 1) "Bats" CMFA(AW)-242 USMC. 2) "Green Knights" VMFA(AW)-121 USMC. 3) "Gladiators" VFA-106 US Navy. ABOUT THE F/A-18: F/A-18 was originally developed in the 1970s by McDonnell Douglas as a carrier-capable multi-role fighter for service with the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The primary missions of the F/A-18 are fighter escort, fleet air defense, suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD), interdiction, close air support and reconnaissance. With continuous development and upgrades, the F/A-18 has evolved into a formidable air-superiority and fleet-defense fighter with versatile attack capabilities. Since September 22, 2006, the F/A-18 E and F variants have replaced the legendary F-14 Tomcat as the primary fleet-defense fighter for the U.S. Navy.
